We love entrepreneurship in all forms and truly understand the impact business building can have on an individual, societal and global level. YLD has several charitable initiatives, where we especially cherish Hand in Hand’s results-driven approach in seeing the enormous potential of entrepreneurship can have in alleviating poverty.

YLD is a proud sponsor of Hand in Hand’s Bee for Honey and Money Programme in Kenya

The goal of Bee for Honey and Money is both to fight poverty and to strengthen biodiversity. The project will combine Hand in Hand’s proven entrepreneurship programmes with training in modern beekeeping and honey production. Bees are vital for the world's food supply and for the future of our planet.

The project aims to strengthen entrepreneurs' ability to support themselves, which increases their ability of dealing with unexpected crises within the family and society. Increased income also enables children to go to school, access to care and better living conditions. Further, the goal is to give entrepreneurs more power over their own lives and improved self-confidence. Finally, the project aims to increase the understanding of the importance of insects and bees as well as the importance of safeguarding biodiversity.

YLD looks forward to support and follow Hand in Hand’s important and valuable work in Kenya.
