Brunswick Ventures leaves Brunswick Real Estate and becomes YLD

Brunswick Ventures was founded in 2015 as the principal investment arm of Brunswick Real Estate. Now the company is a separate and independent entity, retaining the same team and portfolio under the name YLD. As before, YLD continues to invest in, build and support real estate-related companies, but now also includes tech companies in its portfolio.

YLD is an investment company that provides infrastructure and tools to entrepreneurs, including access to financing, network and industry experience. The goal is to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to focus on what is most important – to grow. Founded by entrepreneurs, YLD embodies a truly entrepreneurial approach to investing and building businesses.

- The common thread in our business is to facilitate entrepreneurship and in this new structure we are able to invest in the real estate sector, innovation, and not least social entrepreneurship, says YLD's CEO and founder Willem De Geer.

As YLD does not have a set investment horizon or limiting investment strategy the company has great flexibility in investing. Furthermore YLD invests its our own capital, resulting in very active and engaged ownership. Through YLD, a unique venture ecosystem is created where portfolio companies benefit and learn from each other.

- YLD attracts passionate, creative, and result-oriented entrepreneurs with an idea. We like to describe YLD as an entrepreneur's extended family - a safe space to make mistakes, learn and develop. Now that YLD stands on its own, we have even better ability of doing what we do best – to empower entrepreneurs, Willem De Geer continues.

YLD's portfolio consists of more than 20 companies with a portfolio value of more than SEK 4 billion.
